From late 2005 to late 2008, he was a permanent member of The Vandals and Devo, and he previously worked as a drummer for Nine Inch Nails, for A Perfect Circle from 1999 to 2012, and Guns N’ Roses from mid-1998 to 199Freese has featured on almost 400 different albums. He is presently on the road with The Replacements, Devo, The Vandals, Weezer, and Sublime with Rome, among other bands, playing live. Josh joined Paramore on their South American tour in December 2010, filling in for drummer Zac Farro, who had departed the band earlier in the month after he and his brother had quit the band.
