The daughter of the U.S. Ambassador to Thailand plunged to her death after falling out of a Manhattan highrise window late Thursday night. She was 17. Nicole John, the daughter of Eric John, had returned from a night of clubbing downtown when she stepped out onto a 25th story ledge, apparently to take a picture. According to the New York Daily News, she and about 10 other people had been drinking. Her fall, probably accidental, was first reported at 4:15 a.m. by a witness in an adjacent building. John, who was about to begin classes at the Parsons School of Design after graduating from the International School in Bangkok, was found to have used a fake Brazilian ID to pass for a woman six or seven years older.
