Harrison Ford
Harrison Ford has starred in the leading role in all four installments of Steven Spielberg's Indiana Jones franchise, from 1981's Raiders of the Lost Ark to 2008's Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Ford was also offered a small role as the school principal in 1982's E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, though the scene he appeared in was ultimately cut from the film. In an interview with Yahoo Movies, Spielberg hinted that he would "probably do" an Indiana Jones 5 film with Ford.
Tom Hanks
Tom Hanks first collaborated with Steven Spielberg for 1998's Saving Private Ryan and subsequently went on to appear in two more of the director's films: 2002's Catch Me If You Can and 2004's The Terminal. Hanks stars as a lawyer recruited by the CIA in the Cold War-set drama Bridge of Spies, his latest collaboration with Spielberg. "Steven does this incredible thing when he casts you — he empowers you with the scene," Hanks told THR about working with the director. "He wants you to come in with ideas that are beyond the page, beyond the text and even I think beyond the purview of your own character … Everybody is required to come up with something."
Kathleen Kennedy
The Oscar-nominated producer and Lucasfilm president has worked on nearly every major film helmed by Spielberg, including E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, The Color Purple, Schindler's List, all installments of the Indiana Jones franchise, and most recently, 2012's Lincoln. She will collaborate with Spielberg next for 2016's The BFG and a possible fifth Indiana Jones installment.
Michael Kahn
Film editor Michael Kahn has edited all major features directed by Spielberg from 1977's Close Encounters of the Third Kind to 2015's Bridge of Spies (except E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial).
Tom Cruise
The Mission Impossible actor starred in Spielberg's sci-fi films Minority Report and War of the Worlds. "Steven Spielberg is the greatest storyteller cinema has ever known," Cruise said during an interview with Moviefone. "Every director is very different, but I can just tell you what it's like working with Steven Spielberg — it's a creative combustion. It's not an analytical, a mechanical process. It's an inspired process."
Richard Dreyfuss
Richard Dreyfuss is best known for his role in Steven Spielberg's 1975 thriller Jaws. The actor has also appeared in two other films directed by Spielberg: 1977's Close Encounters of the Third Kind and 1989's Always.
Shia LaBeouf
Shia LaBeouf starred opposite Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Skull and has appeared in four other films on which Spielberg served as executive producer: Transformers, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Transformers: Dark of the Moon and Eagle Eye. "Steven was a hero in my house," the actor told Interview magazine in 2014. "I remember when I was three, taking baths with my mom, her petting my head and going, 'One day you're going to meet Steven Spielberg.' "
Frank Welker
Though Frank Welker has never physically appeared in any of Spielberg's features, his voice has taken on prominent roles. Welker, perhaps best known for voicing the cartoon character Scooby Doo, has taken on voice roles in a number films directed and executive produced by Spielberg, including Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Land Before Time and Gremlins.
John Williams
Composer and long-time collaborator John Williams has scored all of Spielberg's films with the exception of 1985's The Color Purple and 2015's Bridge of Spies (Williams pulled out of the project due to a "minor health issue"). He will join Spielberg next on the director's film adaptation of Roald Dahl's The BFG, set for a 2016 release.
